In 2023, as the world recovered from the Covid-pandemic, the previously suspended in-person activities and events, including Dharma assemblies, public Buddhist courses and programs, as well as Bodhisattva Precepts ceremonies for lay Buddhists, were also re-launched. Dharma Drum Mountain continued to move forward step by step, using Buddhist wisdom to help people cleanse their afflictions and defilements, find quiet and serenity amid change and chaos, and maintain peace of body, thereby attaining blessings and happiness.
This year marked the 30th anniversary of the End-of-Life Caring Group and the Protecting and Spiritual Environment Camp for Children, as well as the 10th anniversary of Nung Chan Monastery as the Water-Moon Dharma center. A series of events were organized to showcase the long-cultivated results and show gratitude towards volunteers and devotees for their selfless contributions. In the future, Dharma Drum Mountain’s monastic and lay practitioners will continue to uphold its ideals and missions, endeavoring to transform the negative atmosphere within the world, bringing people peace and harmony of body and mind.
As we are stepping into 2024, may all people make a new year wish marked by the Bodhi-mind, to practice the myriad ways of a bodhisattva for the benefit of self and others, thereby jointly creating a world of blessings.
