In 2009, Master Sheng Yen passed away at the age of 80. By dedicating himself to Buddhist practice throughout his life, he left behind a legacy of sharing the Buddha-dharma worldwide. Since 2000, when he proposed the ideal of Protecting the Spiritual Environment at the United Nations, he had urged love, compassion, and wisdom among people to embrace and tolerate each other, for all ethnic groups, nations, and religions to walk toward a future beyond boundaries. We hope this film inspires us to remember the Master’s efforts in international exchange and Dharma propagation, while sharing his vow, striving to build a pure land on Earth.
