Although Master Sheng Yen had to divide his time between Taiwan and the US sharing the Dharma, he remained strict in guiding his disciples. Regarding daily conduct and composure, the Master taught by example whenever opportunities arose, in addition to constantly giving verbal reminders. Always efficient with time due to the aspiration to help more people practice the Buddha’s teaching, he showed his disciples what it means by “forgetting the body for the sake of the Dharma.”
